Invest in your translations

All projects are priced on a 'per word rate', based on the amount of words in the documents you provide. There is no 'one size fits all' price tag available here. Translating your content is an investment, you are investing in a service that will make your German text accessible in English to an English-speaking audience for the long term.

A minimum fee of £35 or 40€ applies.

A tailored quote for my services will be provided to you based on the following attributes:

 

• Subject-matter

• Word count

• File format (e.g. editable documents are easier to process than uneditable or scanned PDFs)

• Deadline

• Formatting

• Invoicing currency - I can invoice in GBP or EUR, for countries outside the UK and EU an admin fee may apply to cover costs of bank charges.

Retainer fees can be discussed for long-term ongoing projects if you require regular translations from German into English.

What's included?

• Pre-translation consultation to gather all the little details so that I fully understand your requirements. This includes finding out who the translation is intended for, the style required, if there are any specific glossaries, style guides or translation memories you would like me to use, how you would like the translation delivered and when you would like it delivered.

• Translation from German to English - My workflow consists of 3 translation stages. The first draft I will translate and take notes, analysing any potential issues or things that need double checked as I go. The second draft will be tidying up and ensuring all my questions are answered and blanks filled and the third draft will be following my QA approach.

• Quality Assurance (QA) including research, proofreading and editing.

• ​One-to-one support with a highly qualified and experienced translator (me!) who will listen to your needs and answer any questions throughout the process.

• Delivery of translations in the format of your choice. If you wish to have a hard copy of your documents, an additional postage fee will be applied. If you have ordered certified translations, documents will be sent using Royal Mail's tracked and signed delivery services.

• Feedback on the original and translated text.

• One revision session free of charge if you are unhappy with any elements of the translation or have any changes you would like to make, I will revise up to 500 words free of charge.
